As a member of the Medical Pool at Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) provides on-site services to adults and children enrolled in the Manhattan and Bronx Clinics, ACT Services, and PROs programs. PNP conducts psychiatric assessments and provides medication management to clients. PNP reviews and authorizes treatment plans and is responsible for other client related documentation; including session notes.
PNP runs Substance Abuse Treatment group defined inside the therapeutic group models used at Postgraduate Center for Mental Health to prevent relapse and foster interpersonal skills of the patients. Must be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be able to document in an electronic health record. Spanish speaking a plus.
Candidate should have graduated from an approved PMHNP program with a MS or DNP degree and be certified by the ANCC (American Nurse Credentialing Center).
